The
Easy Draw Holster is unlike any lock blade knife sheath you may have
ever used. It is absolutely important that
you
follow the instructions to the letter to insure that you are able to
use the Easy Draw Holster in the manner that it was
designed, safely and with confidence. You must complete the
break-in procedure prior to any active use. This
precaution is to insure your knowledgeable and safe use of the Easy
Draw Holster.
Note: Extra caution must be taken if there is
a doubt as to the qualification and/or experience of any younger
person(s) using this product. If there is, restrict access and use
of this product.
Note: Leather is a forgiving material. The more it is actively
worked, the more it will relax and the more accommodating it will
become. Your Holster should not be oiled or conditioned through the
break-in process. Afterward, only the exterior Holster surface
should ever be oiled.
Pocket Setting:
Step 1) Insert the knife into the Holster opening with the
blade side up and closed. You will need to use ample force
for
the knife to initially reach the front of the Holster.
Step 2) Draw your knife 3/4 out of the Holster and with
steady and firm pressure, repeat this process until a form fir
pocket is established. This will take approximately 20 minutes.
Note: When concluded,
you will be able to firmly but comfortably draw and return your
knife body into and out of the knife pocket.

Base Fitting:
Step 1) Begin by stretching the Holster base sides open with
an out and upward rolling motion. This must be repeatedly
done
to supple and relax the leather.
Step 2) Concentrate on opening the blade return path and
exposing the bushing area at the rear of the Holster. You
do
this by running your fingers through and over these areas.
Note: These are the areas that your knife
blade will pass through and pivot on when in use.

Important Note:
1) While inserting or drawing your knife from the Easy Draw
Holster, you must never cover the base area of the Holster with any
part of your hand.
2) You must never place any part of your hand in front of the
knife blade as it is being returned to the ready position.
3) These precautions must be enforced at all times when using the
Easy Draw Holster.
4) If at any time you feel you need to rework the break-in
procedure, do so until proper break-in work is completed.
Loading Procedure:
Step 1) After the breaking-in procedures are complete,
break your knife into a 90 degree angle. The body of your knife
is
held above and parallel to the top of the Holster.
Step 2) Insert your knife blade down through the opening of
the Holster until it extends through the Holster base.
Note: Your knife body should be resting on
the rear of the Holster and still in a parallel position to the top
of the Holster. Your knife blade should still be at a 90 degree
angle.
Step 3) To finish loading your knife, apply forward
pressure until your knife is completely inserted into the Holster.
Note: At no time and for no reason
should your hand or fingers ever be in contact or in the motion path
of your knife blade.

Loading Caution:
You will notice that as you insert your knife body into the Holster
that the knife blade will make contact with the 3rd rivet and as the
insertion continues, the knife blade will automatically begin
folding into the Holster base. When you reach a certain point of
the insertion, the natural snap action of the knife blade will cause
it to come into contact with the bushings in the rear of the
Holster. You then must ensure that the front bolster is as far
forward as possible and that the blade is in full contact with the
bushing.
Hand Draw Procedure:
Step 1) With one hand, hold the Holster in the palm of your
hand with the base up and the front of the Holster facing
away
from your body.
Step 2) Slowly draw the knife body completely out of the
Holster. While doing this, maintain constant contact between
the
knife blade and the rear bushing. This action will allow the blade
to come to a complete locked open position.

Break-In Test:
Step 1) When you complete the loading procedure, the blade
should automatically return to the ready position with the
blade in full contact with the
bushing. This must require no added assistance on your part.
Step 2) As you draw and return your knife to the Holster,
it should have a firm but comfortable feel.
Note: If these actions are accomplished, you
are now ready to use your Easy Draw Holster and learn the upcoming
draw techniques.

time
with each step until they are natural, smooth, and comfortable.
